With seven rooms, a restaurant and traditional Finnish saunas all in one place, Loimu offers a calm and personal way to experience Ylläs.
You can stay overnight, join us for dinner or enjoy the sauna — also without accommodation.
Sauna is an essential part of Loimu.
The smoke sauna, lakeside sauna lodge, jacuzzi and lake bring warmth and rest whenever you need it. In winter, guests can also experience ice swimming in Lake Ylläsjärvi.
At Loimu, there is no need to rush through your holiday or fill every moment with activities.
Everything is ready if you feel like it — and if not, that is perfectly fine too.
In summer, Loimu is about long bright evenings, hiking, cycling and quiet moments by the lake.
In winter, cross-country ski tracks, snowmobile routes and the Ylläs ski resort are all nearby.
And when the dark season returns, the sky may surprise you.
Northern lights sometimes appear above the lake quietly and unexpectedly.

Loimu has seven rooms.
Each is a peaceful, simple, and beautiful little world – just the right size.
Every room includes a private bathroom, a coffee maker, and a small set of toiletries. Everything essential is here, nothing unnecessary.
From the window, you'll see the landscape of Ylläsjärvi – sometimes closer, sometimes farther.

Loimu has seven rooms by Lake Ylläsjärvi: five Standard Rooms and two Deluxe Double Rooms.The Standard Rooms are available with either twin beds or a double bed.
Each room is its own peaceful space — simple, beautiful, and just the right size. The rooms are designed for guests looking for calm accommodation in Ylläs, close to nature, Finnish saunas, and good food.
Every room includes a private bathroom, a kettle for coffee and tea, and a small selection of bathroom amenities. Everything has been carefully considered, without anything unnecessary.
The views open towards Lake Ylläsjärvi — sometimes closer, sometimes further away. There are no televisions in the rooms, because at Loimu, people tend to look at something else: the fells, the lake, or simply the quiet end of the day.

Restaurant
In Loimu’s kitchen, food isn’t made in a rush. It’s made in pots and pans, by hands that have been doing this for a long time.
There’s a warm rhythm in our kitchen. The food is straightforward, thoughtfully prepared, and well made. When a kitchen has experience, you can taste it in the small details — and in the feeling that someone genuinely cares about how you are.
We use Finnish ingredients, favour local producers, and cook with the seasons.
Anyone is welcome to dine at our restaurant. People come here to eat together, to celebrate, or simply to enjoy an ordinary evening.
At Loimu, food brings warmth to the night and gathers people around the same table. That’s why it feels right.
The restaurant has 38 seats.
Lunch on weekdays from 11.00-15.00.
A la Carte monday to saturday 4 pm to 10 pm. Kitchen is open until 9.30 pm.
Sauna
At Loimu, sauna is not an extra service. It is an essential part of the experience. Warmth, water, and a moment for yourself or together with others — nothing more is needed.
For overnight guests, the morning sauna is always included. If you would like to enjoy a longer sauna session or spend the evening privately with your own group, Loimu’s sauna area by Lake Ylläsjärvi can be reserved for private use. You can also join our public sauna sessions without accommodation.
The sauna area includes the Pirtti electric sauna, traditional smoke sauna, wood-heated barrel sauna, jacuzzi, winter ice swimming, and lake swimming in summer.
The smoke sauna offers soft and gently smoky steam, while the small barrel sauna brings its own peaceful atmosphere to the evening. The lake is always close — an ice hole in winter and swimming at the lake in summer.

You can also enjoy dining with your group in the Pirtti. A separate sauna menu is available, offering both light bites and more substantial dishes. Sauna drinks and food can be pre-ordered for an additional fee, so the evening can flow effortlessly without extra arrangements.

Loimu Resort
Loimu was born from a simple idea: to create a small hotel where guests feel genuinely welcome. Not just to stay overnight, but to be. To rest, laugh, slow down, and find their own rhythm — without hurry.
For us, the most important thing is that Loimu feels right. Here, there’s no need to perform or “do” a holiday. We meet people honestly, take care of the small details, and heat the sauna properly. Loimu is small, and it doesn’t need to be big: seven rooms, a restaurant where food is made with care, and both our lodge sauna and smoke sauna — the kind of warmth you easily linger in.
And if you want more than just a night, we’re happy to help shape your stay around what you’re looking for. Not rigid, ready-made packages, but a simple combination that suits you: dinner, sauna, the lake, and time to just be.

Events and private occasions
Sometimes you feel like gathering a little differently. Without rushing, in a ready-made setting — a place where the atmosphere comes naturally. Loimu is ideal for small celebrations and occasions where good food, a calm environment and genuine togetherness matter most.
Here you can host, for example, a wedding morning or wedding celebration with sauna, birthdays and anniversaries, christenings and memorial gatherings, as well as meetings, corporate events and retreats.
Every occasion is tailored to your wishes. You’ll have access to our 38-seat restaurant, a large summer terrace, the cozy Pirtti lodge, saunas and a jacuzzi — and accommodation if needed, so the evening can end unhurriedly.

Breakfast
At Loimu, breakfast is always included with your stay. It’s a calm start to the day — no need to rush. The coffee is hot, the table is set, and the lake outside the window makes the morning feel a little lighter.
Breakfast is Loimu in a nutshell: simple, warm, and made with care. There’s fresh bread and rye flatbread, something sweet and something savoury, yoghurt with berries, juice and the day’s smoothie. You’ll also find a taste of Lapland — fish and reindeer — along with warm porridge and something comforting to start the morning. The kind of breakfast that leaves you unhurried, but ready to head outside when you feel like it.
You’re also welcome to join us for breakfast even if you’re not staying overnight. Just book in advance, no later than the day before.
Ylläs Sauna World – Development Project
Loimu Resort is carrying out a development project called Ylläksen Saunamaailma, co-funded by the European Regional Development Fund (EAKR) as a part of the Renewing and Skilled Finland 2021–2027 – EU regional and structural policy programme.
In the first phase of the project, we have built new pathways to the saunas and renewed the smoke sauna stoveThese improvements support Loimu’s goal of developing year-round sauna and wellbeing services in Ylläsjärvi
