Is Loimu open year-round?
Yes. Loimu Resort is open in every season — from polar nights to the midnight sun.
What is included in the room rate?
The rate includes breakfast, morning sauna, and the chance for a refreshing swim in Lake Ylläsjärvi.
Can I come for breakfast without staying overnight?
Yes. Breakfast is open to outside guests as well, priced at €22 per person.
How can I book the sauna for private use?
You can book the sauna or smoke sauna by email or at our reception. Both are available for hotel and external guests.
Is Loimu easy to reach without a car?
Yes. You can take the train to Kolari or Rovaniemi, or fly to Kittilä. From there, buses and taxis will bring you to Ylläsjärvi.
Are there activities available in the area?
Yes. Ski and snowmobile trails start right outside, and we’re happy to help organize an itinerary that fits your pace — active or relaxed.
Can I book the entire hotel for a private event?
Yes. Loimu can be reserved for your group — for weddings, retreats, or any moment when you want the space to yourselves. We’ll take care of everything from food to sauna and accommodation.
Can I bring my pet?
Loimu is currently a pet-free hotel. This ensures a peaceful and allergy-friendly stay for all guests.
Do rooms have televisions?
No. We believe the best view is outside the window.
Can I stay just one night?
Yes. You’re welcome even for one night — if that’s all you need to pause and breathe. A short stay can feel longer when the place feels right.
Are there restaurants or shops nearby?
Loimu’s own restaurant is open daily. Just a few hundred meters away, you’ll find Eelin Kauppa for essentials and more. Other services are within walking or short driving distance. Need help? We’ll arrange a taxi or give you tips
Can I arrive late at night?
Yes. Just let us know in advance if you’re arriving late — we’ll be here for you.
